A Check-Up.
After our ride, we dropped our bikes off at Grove Street Bicycles so they could get a tune-up. Very exciting, even though it will be lonely without them for the week. A great new local shop. So far, we’re big fans.

My friends, I give you the official “Matty & Liz’s Wedding” Video.  (Or, at least, the parts of the wedding that Amy & I experienced.)  It’s an action-packed, twenty-five minute thrill ride, with plenty of twists, turns and surprises.  The soundtrack (inspired by the choices of the Bride and Groom) will bring you to your knees.  Edited by myself, Produced by...

Under New York Harbor.
What did I learn from this article in New York? 1.) Four foot long worms and tiny “gribbles” are eating all the wood and concrete in the rivers.  I expect the FDR drive to collapse into the water at any time. 2.) There are two gas pipes in the Hudson that reach all the way down into the Gulf of Mexico. 3.) Over 300 wrecks, an unknown number of vehicles, a train, a dinette table, and...

Pintando una Canción.
All I can say is that you should take five minutes, click this (might have to load first), and then play with it.  It is wonderful and will make you smile (unless you are dead inside).  Afterwards, you can watch what you’ve just made.  Make sure you can hear the music.

Twitter definitely has their moments.
Boston_Police: INJURED OFFICER -- Officer from district 4 transported to Beth Israel Hospital, human bite to arm, suspect in custody.
WillCady: @Boston_Police If that was a zombie bite, would you tell us?
Boston_Police: @WillCady Yes, absolutely.

I saw this earlier as well, and was filled with a similar sense of awe. frants: I’m still a space nerd at heart.  Check out this time-lapse.  You can see the center of our galaxy.  It’s awesome, like a hot dog.

New Yankee Stadium Economics.
Read this on Kottke.org earlier, really puts the Bronx madness in perspective: “Ticket prices at the new Yankee Stadium are so high that if a New Yorker wants to watch a Mariners/Yankees game from the best seats, it would be a lot cheaper to fly to Seattle, stay in a nice hotel, eat fancy dinners, and see two games.” Option 1: Two tickets to Tuesday night, June 30, Mariners at...

Threadless!
Fellow fans of Threadless — my pal Chris has a design up for judging on Threadless.  It’s up for judging (and, if judged well, printing) for the next five days, so, if you would be so kind — head over there and give it a “5”! You need to have a threadless account to vote (but I know a lot of you already have bought tees from there, so it shouldn’t be a...

INT. HOTH -- REBEL BASE -- ICE CORRIDOR
LEIA: Han!
Han stops in the corridor and turns to face Leia.
HAN: Yes, Your Highnessness?
LEIA: I thought you had decided to stay.
HAN: Well, the bounty hunter we ran into on Ord Mantell changed my
mind.
LEIA: Han, we need you!
HAN: We?
LEIA: Yes.
HAN: What about you need?
LEIA: (mystified) I need? I don't know what you're talking about.
HAN: (fed up) You probably don't.
LEIA: And what precisely am I supposed to know?
HAN: Come on! You want me to stay because of the way you feel about
me.
LEIA: Yes. You're a great help to us. You're a natural leader...
HAN: No! That's not it. Come on. (beat) Aahhh -- Come on.
Leia stares at him, understanding, then laughs.
LEIA: You're imagining things.
HAN: Am I? Then why are you following me? Afraid I was going to leave
without giving you a goodbye kiss?
LEIA: I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee.
HAN: I can arrange that.
Han angrily storms down the hallway.
HAN: You could use a good kiss!

Great Happy Trivia from Ben-No.
Benny hit me with this little quiz-tion he learned from a biography (“sadly, not very good at all”) of Andre, and I thought I’d pass it’s awesomeness onto you.  A gold star if you get it right. “Who is the only athlete to ever box Andre the Giant AND wrestle Muhammad Ali?”
