Iran Updates: Live-Blogging The Uprising →
If you’re interested in following what’s happening in Iran, the Huffington Post Live Blog has been a fantastic resourse, compiling things from all across the web. The BBC has also gotten things in gear with some excellent reports — but, now that foreign press has been shut down, it is unsure how much they will be able to report on.
As Frants mentioned earlier: Wow.

"Alice and Kev: A story of being homeless in Sims... →
A really great site that details the story of an experiment with The Sims 3: what would it be like to create a homeless family in the game?
It’s pretty great the details that they go into — and the interesting results that come from the game. It reminds me what I loved about the original game, and makes me want to go back and start playing again.
Check it out from the beginning.
Adventures in the Forbidden Zone.
Have you ever had a moment where something that’s been locked in your head for decades suddenly pops up? I did. This afternoon. I happened to be reading an article on some Sci-Fi blog, and they had a photo accompanying it. Nothing too extravagant, just a red-headed girl shooting a lazer gun.

I had tears streaming down my face as I sit here at work. No lie.

The Wife (from across the room): Well, maybe he should use his words instead of his fists.
The anticipation is killing me. I hope it lasts.

Forwarded by my pal Jim, this article makes me sincerely hope there will be an “Easy Solutions #2”.
Au Naturale.
This is a sweet little concept, one that sings to my elvish heart. Plant some trees. Mold them as they grow into a chair. Have them be nice and strong by the time you are old and wanting to relax in your backyard, druid-stylee.
I would imagine, tho, that you need not purchase their own mold (or pre-planted trees, for that matter). Folks have apparently been doing this for years — with...
And with that, a three game sweep of Los Tigres. Not bad, boys. Not. Bad. At. All.
In case you haven’t seen it already, here is the mind-blowing intro video for The Beatles: Rockband. Animation done by Pete Candleland, with incredible skill.
Flight Control.
If any of you out there play “Flight Control” on your iPhone, be sure to add “Ithacamafia” to the “TAGS” section in your profile. This way, we can compare our high scores against each other on the different boards.
I’m sure Frants will all crushing us, nonetheless.

I’ve never been one for MMO’s, but I’ll be damned if this crazy trailer doesn’t get me as close as I’ve ever come to considering it. (And remind me how much I loved playing “Knights of the Old Republic”…)
