Cold Beverages.
A few weeks ago, I sat down to eat lunch with my co-workers. Most days, I drink water with my meal, but today I was in the mood for a nice, big glass of cold milk. I poured myself one and sat down to eat. A few minutes later, I noticed my friend Brant staring at the glass with an odd expression on his face:
“You’re drinking milk?”
“Um… Yeah.”

Commute Mix.
The songs my iPod decided upon during our humid, sweaty, no-AC train ride this morning.
1. “Zion City” - Laurel Aitken 2. “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” - the Stones 3. “Straight To Hell” - Lily Allen 4. “Not Addicted” - The Streets 5. “Putting Shame In Your Game” - Beasties 6. “The Bends” - Radiohead
Nothin' but bluebirds, do I see.
A nice, albeit muggy ride this morning. Molly joined our little cycling group, so the four of us rode on out to Liberty State Park to check out the setup for All Points West. Seth, Amy & Myself had seen them setting up last week, and were curious on the progress. So far, looks as if the stage is up (but not the lights), the huuuuuuge tent on the other end of the field (back, near the...

Fascinating footage and discussion on the construction of Disneyland (even though I’ve only ever been to Disneyworld — once).
What did you drink with your supper growing up?
An interesting question has come up at work this week. (One that is not as clear-cut as I had expected.) In my search to discover the various answers to this question, a strong pattern is developing. And so, to confirm it, I’m looking for people of various backgrounds, cultures and locations to chime in.
I’ll explain the results in detail once I get some more answers.
Prost!
So, had quite the good time with Matty, Petey, Seth and Molly at Zeppelin Hall, the new Biergarten in Jersey City. Aside from the libations (pitcher of Aventinus!), I heartily reccomend the Sausage Sampler. The place even thanked me personally, via Twitter, for coming out. Wunderbar!
Of course, our 6:30am bike ride came especially early today. Still, Seth was waiting for us downstairs, and...

Fascinating article about human echolocation and a group of blind mountain bikers.

The latest film by the duo heretofore known as Tall & Skinny.

Congrats to Jermaine and Flight of the Conchords on their Emmy Nominations. I love me some Murray, but it’s songs like this one that keep me singing to myself throughout the season. (Be sure to watch in HQ. Yis.)
Happy, Happy (x2).

– Jason Bay, All-Star Blog: “Two days I’ll never forget”
There are a lot of things I enjoy on television, but none moreso than “Biff Henderson’s Cavalcade of Surprisingly Spot-On Superstar Celebrity Look-Alikes”. This one’s a particularly great episode. (Bonus points for anyone who can find the surprisingly spot-on look-alike of someone’s wife…)
The dynamic duo finally release their latest opus. (This one even has a real, live girl!)

A new film.

Song For The Moment
“Well Thought Out Twinkles” by Silversun Pickups
MTV Unplugged has a great set up online by Silversun Pickups. It’s pretty great (including some tracks I frequently enjoy on “Rock Band”), and well worth a few minutes of your time.

– Krugman, explaining why we need a public health care option (HELP Is on the Way - NYTimes)
I love this high-quality parody trailer mocking 2012. Yet, I also have a soft-spot for the mindless “pew-pew-pew/BOOM”-ness of flicks like Independence Day (which I got stucked into watching just this past Sunday evening). So, I guess I appreciate both the criticism and the actual film. (2012 has two big things going for it in my book: geeky male lead = John Cusack [instead...

Incredible (and devastating) Vanity Fair article on Palin that came out last week. Feels particularly prescient after her sudden resignation over the weekend.
