Chillout Song: ZeFrank. →
Things like this are a great reminder of how unique and lovely things come about on the internet from time to time.  (And, seven times out of ten, ZeFrank is behind it — I still miss The Show, but am glad there is now a blog for the Young Me/Now Me photos.) This is all to say — should you feel overwhelmed or anxious, should you require something that will right your ship, should you...

Makes Perfect.
The last 24 hours have been strange. The Wife came home last night feeling suddenly ill — cough, aches, chills, congestion — which was then compounded by a slight (yet rising) fever. Seeings how she is “with child”, I was out of my usual Florence Nightengale element; the ususal medicines and remedies would not suffice — a scant 500mg of Tylenol was the only remedy....

Rebutting Roger Ebert. →
The other day, Roger Ebert kicked the tires on a message he’s repeated quite a few times over the last few years: namely, that Videogames Can Never Be Art. Unsurprisingly, the arrogance of his proclamation raised a firestorm of replies. (He does not even explain how a man that does not play video games is able to serve as arbiter on whether the entire medium holds potential for...

Risin' Up, Back On The Street.
After the mixtapes on ShuffleThis got borked a few weeks ago, it had the unexpected side-effect of getting our boy Brob to finally listen to them.  And what do you know?  He dug what he heard. This week, he sent along a little jam of his own — the first mixtape submitted to me since the legendary Matty/Corey blasts of ‘05.  Perhaps he’ll start a trend. Either way, do yourself...

Thoughts on ye iPad.
Yesterday, I had the chance to fiddle around with an iPad.  There were a number of conclusions I arrived at in my fifteen minutes with the device: Undeniably fun to use.  It looks good, handles snappy, feels like “the future”. (Which, if I recall, was the same response the iPhone generated upon it’s debut a few years ago.) Can’t type a lick.  I had a real tough time...

'Eat Out' Award Winner: Joseph Leonard! →
My own personal neighborhood favorite was just named the Critics’ Choice “Hottest Little Restaurant” for the Annual Time Out ‘Eat Out’ Awards.  Congrats are in order to Jim and his baby, the mouth-watering pork hock.

First Look At The iPad (Boing Boing). →
My favorite review of the day, by Xeni.  The little things she describes (along with the comics and the Harry Potter-esque book potential) is what makes me excited to see the next few revisions of the product…
