Matty & I have been making Red Sox mixes for quite some time. So, when we continued to struggle with this year’s mix (as Matty says in his intro, “there are only so many songs that contain thinly veiled references to Tek’s thunderous thighs”), a fresh approach was needed. After five weeks of work, we now have twenty-two personal tributes to our favorite Sox players and baseball fans everywhere. Matty says it best in his missive to the Sox:
Here we submit to you Your 2009 Red Sox Mix: Songs the Red Sox Are About to Love. It’s a bunch of songs that we think you guys will like. We think they’ll get you pumped, or shift your perspective, or just make you want to kill the Yankees come October. It’s time for us to give something back. Because we think you’re about to turn a corner. We think you’re about to find your identity. Most of all though, we think you’re gonna love these songs.
