I was thrilled when I heard AMC was developing one of my favorite comics into a series — with Shawshank helmer Frank Darabont, no less. Seems like Frank did a stand-up job, because they’ve just ordered it to series without even shooting the pilot. I’ll be curious to see how far they go with it — the comic can be absolutely brutal at times. (Also curious if Brantley will give it a shot, considering his well-known aversion to horror…)
