So, my copy of MLB ‘09: The Show arrived in the mail yesterday (thanks, AmEx Rewards Points!) — and with it, comes the new feature enabling you to pick your own music for when you come up to bat, hit a home run, etc. As your pick is only limited to your ability to get the song in mp3 format, the choices are limitless. You can even cue it up to a specific point.
I’ve been kicking around some thoughts for myself, I thought I’d pose the question to the rest of you. What songs/music would you pick for:
- At-Bat Music?
- Home Run Music?
- Coming Out of the Bullpen Music (similar to at-bat music, but more of an “entrance”)?
I know some of you aren’t big on sports (Bobo, I’m looking in your direction), but I think it’s still a concept everyone can get behind. So, please post and discuss your selections in the comments. Off the top of my head:
- At-Bat Music: “I Fought The Law” by The Clash/Joe Strummer
- Home Run Music:“Today” by Smashing Pumpkins (When it blows up in the beginning. Also, might be too “on the nose”.)
- Bullpen Music: “The Game” by Motorhead (If it’s good enough for HHH, it’s good enough for me.)
